Frequently Asked Questions
Q: “Why is Source Diagnostics better than other mobile radiology
companies?”
A: Source was founded by radiology industry experts who have
over 40 years experience with mobile radiology. They started the
company with the goal of saving nursing time and cost while being
the most technologically advanced. Our computer system sets Source
apart because of it’s ability to view digital images, order exams
and print reports.
Also, our staff cares. Every person (including managers) has their
cell phone on 24/7. We measure ourselves on how few or many phone
calls we receive. We would rather you call us in the middle of the
night than wait until the next day when a small problem becomes an
issue. Also, you will ALWAYS get a live person to answer the phone.
It’s what we believe in. Last, every Source customer has a
dedicated person to help with any problems, attend EVERY QA and
visit your facility.
Q: “I am located 60 minutes outside
Columbus, can you service our facility?”
A: Yes! Source Diagnostics serves the ENTIRE state of Ohio.
Q: “What is your turnaround time?”
A: Our x-ray, EKG STAT turnaround time is typically 3 hours.
That is, 3 hours from the time you pick up the phone to place an
order to the time we are receiving a result. ASAP is 4-6 hours and
Routine is 8 hours. This is available 24/7, 365 days a week.
As for Ultrasound/Doppler - we do same day service from 8am-8pm.
Most Ultrasound/Doppler exams require prep work, but if you have an
immediate need, let us know.
Q: “Are you owned by any nursing home?”
A: No. We are independent, therefore you are not putting money
into your competitor's pocket.
Q: “How many misreads do you have?”
A: Our compliance target range for accurate interpretations is
set at 98%.
Every month we randomly pull films to check the quality of the
film and the read. In the rare case that we do have a questionable
read, Source Diagnostics follows a required QA process. We document all steps and keep you
informed of the outcome. First, the film is sent out to an
independent radiologist who is not associated with the original
interpretation. If the 2nd radiologist agrees with the previous read
the case is closed. If not, a corrective plan of action is
implemented. The facility always receives communication from us and
we don't let go of it until you are satisfied.
